The plan of stabilishing a turnout manufacturing plant in Tabriz was decided to be excuted after MST Group was the winner of the IIRR International tender for 900 turnouts. Accordingly the related know - how was transferred by the French Co. , Cogifer in the frame of purchase of turnout components.
The plan was ratified by the Economic Council through the letter No. 34/825 in 12.March.1996 and was also ratified by the Engineering and Development Comittee of IDRO in 27.Aug.1997 . The Co.commenced to manufacture and deliver the 900 turnouts to IIRR in 1999.
This Co. was seprated from MST Group in 22.Sep.2006 as per the ratification No. 1004 of IDRO Board and went on existing and production under the title of Iran Rail Industries Development Co. , affiliated by IDRO ( Iran Developmend and Renovation Organisation ).
Finally %95 of IRID was sold by Iran privatasation Organisation on 18.June.2008 to the Islamic Republic of Iran Railwayas Saving Institute and other %5 was denoted to IRID staff as the prefrencial share.
